as a panelist at a recent Bench & Bar symposium on
professionalism. Karen is seated among fellow panelists,
Hon. R. Michael Hutcheson, Circuit Court Judge for the
Seventh Judicial Circuit, Hon. John Tanner, State Attorney
for the Seventh Judicial Circuit, Hon. James Purdy, Public
Defender for the Seventh Circuit, Hon. Peter Marshall,
County Court Judge for Volusia County and Robert Sanders,
President of the Volusia County Chapter of the Florida
Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
The symposium also featured the Hon. Raul Canteras, Justice
of the Florida Supreme Court, and Francisco R. Angones,
President of the Florida Bar Association. The panelists at
the symposium discussed issues of professionalism and ethics
in the legal field with an audience of over 100 attorneys
and criminal justice students to celebrate Law Day on May 1,
2008.
