VFAWL Swears In Karen Adams Foxman
As President
Karen
Adams Foxman was recently sworn in to serve as President of the
Volusia-Flagler Association of Women Lawyers from July 2006
until July 2007. Ms. Foxman had previously been serving and
Vice President on the same board, and prior to that, as a
member on the Board of Directors.
Karen Foxman Becomes
Director for the VC Bar Association
Karen Adams Foxman was sworn in on July 28 as a Director for the
Volusia County Bar Association. Ms. Foxman just finished
serving as the Representative for the Young Lawyers'
Division. Ms. Foxman has been serving on the Board in some
capacity for over two years.
Bowling for School Supplies
Project Receives Grant
Our
attorneys are very involved in the local and state bar
associations. Attorney Karen Adams Foxman recently attended The Florida Bar, Young Lawyers Division,
2006 Affiliate Outreach Conference ("AOC"). The AOC was held
in Cape Canaveral and included many leaders of local Young
Lawyers Divisions, as well as members of the Board of
Governors. Ms. Foxman presented the Volusia County Bar
Association, Young Lawyers Division's community service
project and was awarded a $1,000.00 grant. The grant will
assist in moving the Bowling for School Supplies Project

VFAWL Names New Vice
President
Karen
Adams Foxman has been named Vice President of the Volusia/ Flagler
Association for Women Lawyers. She previously had served as
a member of the VFAWL Board of Directors.
Karen Adams Foxman To Speak At VAP
January 2006 Meeting
Rice
and Rose Law Attorney Karen Adams Foxman will be the guest speaker
for the Volusia Association of Paralegals general membership
meeting on January 25, 2006.VAP is a non-profit organization
and an affiliate of the National Association of Legal
Assistants (NALA) established for the benefit of continuing
education for paralegals. The members live and work in the
Central East Coast of Florida.

Karen Adams Foxman Nominated for
Volusia County Court Judgeship
The Nominating Commission for
the 7th Judicial Circuit, which includes Volusia, Flagler,
St. Johns and Putnam counties, has selected Karen Adams Foxman of Rice Rose Law as one of the
nominees for a Volusia County Court judgeship. Governor Jeb
Bush is expected to make a choice by the end of 2005.

article entitled "A Burning Desire To Be A Lawyer".
The article begins..... A turning point in Karen Foxman's
life came during a community battle over a hazardous waste
