A
former resident of the Tarheel state, Ms. Foxman earned her
Juris Doctor degree in 1996 from the Norman Adrian Wiggins
School of Law at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North
Carolina. She had previously received her Bachelor of Arts
degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Before Ms. Foxman joined the firm in September of 2003, she
served seven years as an Assistant State Attorney for the
Seventh Judicial Circuit. While working at the State
Attorney's Office, Ms. Foxman prosecuted and tried all types
of crime, including homicides, manslaughters, drug
trafficking charges and a variety of other high profile
cases. One of her manslaughter trials was actually featured
and aired nationally on Court TV. In addition to her
extensive trial experience, Ms. Foxman also served as a
Supervisor of the Drug Unit as well as a Felony Trial
Supervisor.
In addition to prosecuting, Ms. Foxman taught several years
as an Adjunct Professor at Daytona Beach Community College.
She is currently a member of the Dunn-Blount Inns of Court,
the Volusia County Bar Association, the Florida Bar, the
Florida Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers, The Family
Law section of the Volusia County Bar Association, the
Criminal Law Subcommittee of the Volusia County Bar
Association, and the Volusia/Flagler Association for Women
Lawyers where she currently serves as President. She had
previously served as Vice President and as a member of the
VFAWL board of directors. Additionally Ms. Foxman is
currently the on the Board of Directors for the Volusia
County Bar Association, where she previously served as
President for the Young Lawyers’ Division.
In her leisure time, Ms. Foxman enjoys running, working out,
reading and spending time with her husband and pets. Ms.
Foxman also enjoys volunteering for the Southeast Volusia
Humane Society.
