James L. Rose

Mr. Rose received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida College of Law in 1982, having received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Central Florida in 1979. As a law student, Mr. Rose served on the Appellate Advocacy Board of Editors. He has been on the Board of Directors of the Volusia County Bar Association, the Volusia County Bar Grievance Committee and Chairperson of the Volusia County Bar Family Law Section. Mr. Rose is a member of the Business Law and Real Property, Trust and Probate sections of The Florida Bar, along with being an agent for First American Title Company and Old Republic Title Insurance Company.
He is currently the Chairman Elect of the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Volusia Flagler County, Stewart Marchman ACT Corporation, Tiger Bay of Volusia County and the Daytona Police Endowment Association. He is the past President of Tiger Bay of Volusia County, the Gator Club of Volusia County and I-CARE (now known as the Children’s Advocacy Society). He is a graduate and continuing member of Leadership Daytona and Leadership Ormond Beach. Mr. Rose is also a member of the Ormond Beach and Holly Hill Chambers of Commerce, Volusia Real Property Council, Daytona Beach Quarterback Club, Futures, Inc., Hotel-Motel Association of Volusia County, the UCF Alumni Association and the League of Women Voters. He is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the Daytona Beach Shores Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Adjustments and Appeals of the City of Ormond Beach and the Volusia Manufacturers Association.
Mr. Rose is AV rated, the highest rating in competence and ethics, by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. Mr. Rose regularly hosts the Rice & Rose Legal Forum radio show sponsored by the firm. Mr. Rose enjoys politics, basketball, golf and all other sports. He is married, with a son and daughter.
