In 1986, after a tenure together in another local firm, Paul
E. Rice, Jr. and James L. Rose, 1983 and 1982 graduates of the
University of Florida College of Law, respectively, formed the firm of Rice
& Rose.
After four years of proving herself as an able associate
with Rice & Rose, Karen Foxman became a partner with the
firm on October 1, 2007.
A new era in the firm history began on April 30th, 2001 when
RICE & ROSE took occupancy of its 10,500 square foot
office building. The new building provides
attractive space which is needed for anticipated short-term
growth as well as the resources required for the delivery of
high quality legal services.
In addition to the three partners, the firm has two associate
attorneys, ten legal assistants and four administrative staff all
likewise dedicated to providing superior service. The
competence and ethics of RICE & ROSE have been recognized by
the award of an AV rating (the best) by the
Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the leader among lawyer

Parker-Rose Title
Agency, Inc., which has three qualified closing agents. RICE & ROSE is a full service law firm with offices in Volusia and
Flagler Counties. The firm serves a wide variety of clients
throughout Florida including Colonial Bank, Consolidated
Tomoka Land Company, Food Supply, Inc., Stonewood
Restaurants, Wachovia Bank, The City of Daytona Beach and
The City of Edgewater as well as numerous condominium and
